La International Rugby Board dio a conocer la terna de nominados para el Jugador IRB Junior del Año 2011
Los nominados fueron seleccionados tras el reciente récord de IRB Junior World Championship celebrado en Italia, la edición más competitiva del torneo sub-20 hasta la fecha.
La lista representa el voto de los entrenadores en jefe de cada equipo y a los árbitros, así como los medios de comunicación internacionales y locales en el torneo.
Presidente de la IRB, Bernard Lapasset, dijo: «Estos tres jugadores destacaron en Italia y reflejan el talento expuesto en un torneo que sigue marchando viento en popa. La calidad de rugby jugado en Italia muestra el importante papel que juega este torneo en el desarrollo de las futuras estrellas del rugby mundial.»
El ganador será anunciado en los premios IRB en asociación con Emirates Airline en Auckland el 24 de octubre.
